Setting up a Jane app profile is a great first step. Please ensure you book your free consult here with our intake counsellor BEFORE booking a first session with this therapist.
Irene is a student intern currently enrolled with Yorkville University’s Master of Counselling Psychology program. Prior to getting her counselling degree Irene has a bachelor’s degree in child development and was an educator and taught elementary school for ten years. Irene is a genuine, compassionate, and caring person who has worked and volunteered as a youth mentor for her church for many years.
Irene can use this prior knowledge and experience to bring faith-based services to her clients. Irene built relationships with the youth at her church and helped them with the cultural and generational gaps that they faced with their parents being raised in a different country and culture. She has always had a passion for working with children and youth and this led her to become an educator. She always felt that she wanted to help students with more than just academics and that something was missing. This is what led her to pursue a master’s in counselling psychology degree.
Irene wants to help clients on their journey focusing on providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for them. Irene will work with clients collaboratively to help with their specific and unique needs. Irene offers a client centred approach using cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused therapy, and emotionally focused therapy just to name a few.
Irene is currently working under the supervision of Michael Browning, CRPO Reg. Number 006975 and Gerard Vardy, CRPO Registration No. 005382
