Ben has a passion for counselling. Ben spent three years working as a front-line addictions counsellor for an in-patient addictions program for youth. In this role, Ben sparked an interest for working with individuals struggling with addictions, trauma & making changes in their lives, as well as leading group therapy sessions. Ben has also worked with those experiencing homelessness, as well as life-altering disabilities.
Ben has a Master’s of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from St. Paul University. Ben is also a graduate of the University of Ottawa (BA – History and Political Science) and Algonquin College (Diploma – Social Service Worker).
Ben takes an integrative approach to counselling, incorporating person-centered, positive psychology and logotherapy approaches. Ben is also comfortable integrating personal beliefs, values and faith into session, as appropriate, and is passionate about accompanying clients who are facing challenges in their present lives or who are struggling with difficulties from their past.
